10.60.010 Definitions
"Vehicle, heavy," as used in this chapter means any or the following or a combination thereof, having a gross weight in excess of twelve thousand pounds:
- Motor Vehicle
- Semitrailer
- Trailer
- Truck
- Truck-tractor
- Vehicle
"Vehicle, long," as used in this chapter means any or the following or a combination thereof, having a total length in excess of twenty-five feet:
- Motor Vehicle
- Semitrailer
- Trailer
- Truck
- Truck-tractor
- Vehicle
10.60.020 Heavy Vehicle - Prohibited Use - Designated
From and after the effective date of the ordinance codified in the chapter, it is unlawful to do any of the following or in any way propel any heavy vehicle over, along, upon, or across any street in the City: except those streets designated in Section 10.60.040:
- Drive
- Move
- Operate
- Park
- Tow
No heavy vehicle resting on dollies shall be parked on any street without pads at least twelve inches by twelve inches being placed under the dollies.
10.60.030 Heavy Vehicle - Prohibited Use - Exceptions
The limitations set forth in Section 10.60.020 shall not apply to any vehicle while in the actual process of making deliveries to points within the City not located upon such heavy vehicle route streets designated in Section 10.60.040. The limitations set forth in Section 10.60.020 shall also not apply to any vehicle traveling to the owner's residence or parked in front of the owner's residence.
10.60.040 Heavy Vehicle-Routes
The following streets are designated as heavy vehicle routes within the City:
- "A" Street Northeast from Central Avenue North to 6th Avenue Northeast.
- "A" Street Northeast from Central Avenue North to the west end of the street.
- "A" Street Southeast from Columbia Way to Seventh Avenue Southeast.
- "B" Street Southwest from Thirteenth Avenue Southwest to Seventh Avenue Southwest.
- Central Avenue from south City limit to "F" Street/SR 28.
- Columbia Way Southeast from "F" Street Southeast/SR 28 to "M" Street Northeast.
- "D" Street Northwest from Thirteenth Avenue Northwest to Central Avenue North.
- Division Street East from Central Avenue South to Columbia Way.
- Division Street West from Central Avenue South to Seventh Avenue Southwest.
- Eighth Avenue Southeast/Bob Jacques Way from "F" Street Southeast/SR 28 to "A" Street Southeast.
- "F" Street Southeast from the east City limit to Central Avenue.
- "F" Street Southwest from the west City limit to Central Avenue.
- "M" Street Northeast from Columbia Way to the east City limit.
- Seventh Avenue Southeast from "A" Street Southeast to Division Street East.
- Seventh Avenue Southwest from "F" Street Southwest/SR 28 to Division Street West.
- Sixth Avenue Northeast from "A" Street Northeast to "10.5" Northwest.
- Third Avenue Southeast from "F" Street Southeast/SR 28 to "A" Street Northeast.
- Thirteenth Avenue Northwest from "F" Street Southwest/SR 28 to the north City limit.
10.60.050 Long Vehicle - Prohibited Use - Designated
From and after the effective date of the ordinance codified in this section, it shall be unlawful to park a long vehicle on any street in the City except those streets designated in Section 10.60.040.
10.60.060 Long Vehicle - Prohibited Use - Exceptions
The limitations set forth in Section 10.60.050 shall not apply to any long vehicle where the following conditions are met:
- The long vehicle is parked in front of the owner's property
- The long vehicle is parked more than ten feet from any property line
10.60.070 Route Posting
The streets designated as a heavy vehicle and long vehicle route shall be marked with signs in an appropriate manner.
10.60.080 Violation - Civil Penalty
Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be deemed to have committed a civil infraction and shall be punished as provided in Section 1.01.110(A)
