SRO Activity Report
- November 2002
During the month of
November, the SRO has achieved one of the main goals, which were set at the
start of the program. A computer
link with the new fiber optic system is in place and operating.
The computer system will allow the SRO to have access to the countywide
law enforcement database and be able to work on investigation reports at the
school. This will increase the time
spent on the school property.
The emphasis this month was
on training for the SRO. The SRO
became an instructor (along with other school staff) to train Quincy School
District staff on Harassment and Bullying Prevention. The SRO also went to a 24-hour training in Child Abuse
Investigation. The training
emphasis for this class was the team concept and to establish a countywide Child
Abuse Investigation Protocol, which is mandated by state law.
