ACTIVITY REPORT - March
2003
During
the month of March, the arrestable activity seemed to slow, however, the calls
for service still maintained its past activity.
The
SRO assisted the Jr. High Counselor and Grant County Mental Health
representatives instructing leadership training at the Jr. High for a select
group of students. One of the goals
of this training was to get different groups of students to interact together in
hopes to break down the barriers between each group. The training proved to be very successful.
The
SRO also organized and participated in a Hispanic Gang Investigation class,
which was held for law enforcement at the Quincy Police Department.
Members of the Franklin County Prosecutor’s office and Pasco Police
Department instructed the training.
In
April, the SRO and members of the Pasco Police Department will provide similar
gang training for members of the Quincy City government and members of the
Quincy School District staff. The
training will be held in the Performing Arts Center (Quincy High School) on
April 28, 2003 at 4:00 PM. About
two hours of training will be provided with time for questions.
