SRO ACTIVITY REPORT - March 2003

During the month of March, the arrestable activity seemed to slow, however, the calls for service still maintained its past activity.

The SRO assisted the Jr. High Counselor and Grant County Mental Health representatives instructing leadership training at the Jr. High for a select group of students.  One of the goals of this training was to get different groups of students to interact together in hopes to break down the barriers between each group.  The training proved to be very successful.

The SRO also organized and participated in a Hispanic Gang Investigation class, which was held for law enforcement at the Quincy Police Department.  Members of the Franklin County Prosecutor’s office and Pasco Police Department instructed the training.

In April, the SRO and members of the Pasco Police Department will provide similar gang training for members of the Quincy City government and members of the Quincy School District staff.  The training will be held in the Performing Arts Center (Quincy High School) on April 28, 2003 at 4:00 PM.  About two hours of training will be provided with time for questions.
